Poor customer service in India

A lack of consumer rights protection has led brands to dilute their warranty coverage to reduce service costs. This practice compromises the customer experience and is often paired with lower build quality, leading to a higher rate of necessary repairs. Brands that were considered reliable for claiming warranty like Apple and Samsung now frequently charge customers stating damage caused by customer is not covered under warranty. The less said about the automobile industry the better. In my case with Samsung Galaxy Watch 7. They refused to honour warranty claiming water damage. For an IP68 and 5ATM rated product, claiming water damage as an excuse is ridiculous. This is not an isolated case either, with the most recent one being this one .

Hyundai Creta (2024) Review

Upgraded from i20 Asta Diesel (2012) to Hyundai Creta Petrol (2024) Purchase Experience Poor Between booking (May 2024) and delivery (July 2024), there was a 2.5 month waiting period. The day before delivery, dealership employees realized they had calculated warranty costs incorrectly and insurance cost had gone up so I had to pay more before taking delivery. First Impressions (Year One) Poor Pros Upgrading from a 12 year old car, the new bells and whistles were definitely appreciated. Large instrumentation cluster and touchscreen are nice to have. The 360 degree camera and rear collision avoidance are absolute must haves for street parking. Cons Build quality and NVH levels are a step down from the old i20. No automatic rain sensing wipers. Has a sunroof, not useful due to air quality and weather in most of India. Door thuds just aren't the same. Creta petrol engine is more easily audible compared to i20 diesel when it was new and the whole car shakes when the engine turns on due ...
